About This Tour

Escape the fast pace of the city and spend a memorable fall day in the picturesque Doftana Valley, a place where nature and traditions blend harmoniously. This trip is an invitation to relax and enjoy yourself, offering you the chance to take part in one of the most anticipated local events of the year—a festival full of color, music, and flavor.

Our itinerary begins with a journey into history at the Brebu Architectural Complex, an impressive medieval ensemble that keeps the legacy of Prince Matei Basarab alive. Here you’ll enjoy the tranquility of the princely courtyards and admire the well-preserved traditional architecture—a perfect prelude to the vibrant energy of the festival that follows.

Once you arrive at the Cașcavelei Festival, you’ll be swept away by the irresistible aromas of traditional products. You’ll be able to taste and purchase the famous cașcavea, smoked according to centuries-old recipes, as well as other local delicacies directly from local producers. Alongside the culinary feast, you’ll discover traditional crafts, watch live folk performances, and enjoy an authentic experience that celebrates the pure charm of the Romanian village.
