Essential Information
Departure is at 6:00 a.m. from Bucharest (Timpuri Noi Metro Station – Mol Gas Station), with an estimated return in the evening (depending on traffic and route). The estimated duration is approximately 14–16 hours. Participation requires a national ID card (CI) or passport. Seats on the bus are assigned starting with the second row, strictly in the order in which the deposit was paid. During the hot season, we recommend wearing casual clothing suitable for high temperatures, and don’t forget to stay hydrated, which is essential for your well-being.
Recommendations:
- Required gear: Hiking shoes with grippy soles (no regular shoes or heels), sports pants, a change of clothes, a fleece or hoodie, a backpack, a rain poncho, water, and snacks (sandwiches/fruit). Without this equipment, access to the hike may be denied.
- Physical Requirements: The trail is rated as easy to moderate (approx. 12 km, 7 hours of walking, +400 m elevation gain). It requires adequate physical fitness and is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
- Safety and Conduct: Hikers must walk in single file (single-file line) at the pace set by the group. Alcohol consumption on the trail is strictly prohibited.
- Schedule Changes: The mountain route depends on weather conditions and trail conditions and may be slightly adjusted for the safety of participants.
