About This Tour

Let yourself be swept away on a fascinating journey south of the Danube, where history, nature, and architecture blend harmoniously. This trip takes you in the footsteps of the ancient Tsardom, straight to the heart of Veliko Tarnovo. Its picturesque narrow streets, terraced above the Yantra River, hide amazing stories at every turn, offering you the perfect opportunity for a charming and peaceful escape from everyday life.

Beyond the beauty of the former capital, we’ll discover fairy-tale villages like Arbanasi, renowned for its old stone houses with unique architecture—places of relaxation once chosen even by Constantin Brâncoveanu himself. We’ll feel the grandeur of history at the Madara Rocks and stroll among scale models of our neighbors’ most famous buildings at Mini-Bulgaria Park. It’s an experience designed to help you relax, inspire you, and fill your photo gallery with unforgettable memories.

Highlights

  • Explore Tsarevets Fortress, the historic heart of the former Vlach-Bulgarian capital and a place steeped in legend.
  • Admire the Madara Rider, an impressive rock relief recognized and protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Enjoy the traditional architecture and hidden courtyards of the picturesque village of Arbanasi, a true open-air museum.
  • Take photos of Bulgaria’s most famous monuments, built on a smaller scale in the unique Mini-Bulgaria Park.

Essential Information

Departure is at 7:00 a.m. from the Constanța CFR Train Station (Vaporaș), with an estimated return around 10:00 p.m. the following day (depending on traffic, customs formalities, and the route). The estimated duration is 2 days. Participation requires a valid ID card or passport. Seats on the bus are assigned starting with the second row, strictly in the order in which the deposit was paid. Minors aged 0–18 must carry an ID proving their age and the legal documents required to leave the country. During the hot season, we recommend wearing casual, lightweight clothing suitable for high temperatures, and be sure to stay hydrated, which is essential for your well-being. The tour involves short walks outdoors, sometimes on uneven or cobblestone terrain (near the fortresses), which is why comfortable footwear is absolutely required. The local currency in Bulgaria is the Euro; we recommend that you have both cash and a debit or credit card on hand. Please be punctual, as the tour bus cannot wait for individuals who are late.
