About This Tour
Set out on a day-long adventure through Dobrogea and discover a surprising region, featuring ancient fortresses, rocky cliffs, wild lagoons, and farmsteads that preserve the stories of the village of yesteryear.
The experience takes place in your own car, giving you the freedom to explore Dobrogea at a leisurely pace, following the itinerary and schedule set for the day.
The first stop is at Argamum Fortress, one of the oldest ancient settlements in Romania. You’ll explore the ruins of the fortress and learn about the civilizations that once thrived in these lands.
Just a few steps away is Cape Doloșman, the only rocky cliff on the Romanian coast and one of the most spectacular vantage points in Dobrogea. From here, the view opens up onto Lake Razim and the wild expanses of the lagoon complex.
The adventure continues to Jurilovca, a fishing village with strong Lipovan influences and one of the main gateways to the Razim–Sinoe lagoons.
From here, we’ll board a boat for a cruise through the lagoons of the Danube Delta, navigating through canals, islands, and natural areas that are difficult to reach by land. The route offers the chance to observe wild birds, spectacular landscapes, and the tranquility unique to this area.
During the trip, we’ll stop at a wild beach where nature has remained almost untouched.
After the adventure on the water, the day continues in the village of Vișina, at Suvenir din Dobrogea, a traditional farmstead where the history and life of the village are brought to life through objects, people, and stories.
You’ll visit the House Museum and the farmstead, discover stories about Dobrogea’s traditions and heritage, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the courtyard.
The experience is rounded out with a homemade pastry, along with a refreshing drink, coffee, or tea. Then we set off on a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village to discover Vișina in an authentic and relaxed way.
A day when Dobrogea isn’t just visited—it’s discovered through its history, nature, local flavors, and the people who call it home.
