About This Tour

Fall brings one of the most beautiful and eagerly anticipated traditional festivals to the foothills of the mountains: the Sheep Shearing Festival, held in conjunction with the Cheese and Pastrami Festival. This day trip takes you straight to the heart of Transylvania, where spectacular landscapes blend with the aroma of steaming dishes and the energy of folk music. It is the symbolic moment when the community gathers on the Inima Reginei plateau to celebrate the fruits of their labor and the descent of the flocks from the highlands.

You’ll have the chance to stroll among the stalls of local producers and enjoy an authentic culinary feast. From burduf cheese, fresh telemea, and sheep pastrami to sweet must and traditional liqueurs, every flavor tells a story of the Bran region. The lively atmosphere and the natural autumn setting provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation and good cheer with friends.

In addition to the festival’s delights, the trip offers you the chance to visit Bran Castle, an imposing medieval fortress steeped in legend, and the Bran Village Museum. Here, the old architecture and authentic farmsteads will take you back in time, revealing the simple beauty of rural life. This getaway harmoniously blends tradition, history, and the scents of autumn into an unforgettable experience.
