About This Tour

This fall excursion invites you to set aside your everyday worries and enjoy the fresh mountain air on a day dedicated to spectacular scenery and authentic Romanian traditions. It’s not just a simple trip, but a complete experience that combines light adventure with the joy of admiring nature in its most beautiful colors.

The route takes us to Podu Dâmboviței, where the real adventure begins. We’ll leave the bus behind and board a unique tourist tractor that will carry us leisurely through the impressive gorge of Cheile Dâmbovicioarei. The steep cliffs and the sound of the water will accompany us all the way to the entrance of Dâmbovicioara Cave, a place full of mystery that you can explore at your leisure.

Once the crisp mountain air has whetted our appetites, the road will take us to the Stâna on Sasului Hill. Here, the locals’ hospitality awaits us with a sumptuous meal—a true culinary treat featuring platters of cold cuts, meat with side dishes, steaming bulz, a glass of wine, and homemade blueberry jam. It’s the perfect excuse to share stories and create unforgettable memories with our fellow travelers.

Essential Information

Departure is at 5:30 a.m. from the Orizont Bus Station in Călărași, with an estimated return in the evening (depending on traffic and the route). The estimated duration is one day (November 7, 2026). Participation requires a valid ID. Seats on the bus are assigned starting with the second row, strictly in the order in which the deposit was paid. We recommend wearing warm clothing suitable for low mountain temperatures and comfortable walking shoes. Useful Information: The bus ride is long, so you must be in good enough health to handle extended periods of sitting. The tour through the gorge is conducted using a specially adapted tourist tractor, which picks up the group at Podu Dâmboviței. Times are approximate, and participants must follow the guide’s instructions, as the bus cannot wait for individuals who are late.
