About This Tour

Follow in the footsteps of the princes and discover a part of the spiritual heart of Wallachia on a relaxing and meaningful journey. This pilgrimage takes you through the tranquil landscapes of Dâmbovița County, blending medieval history with the atmosphere of deep contemplation found in places of worship. The first stop, Dealu Monastery, offers not only a superb panoramic view of the surroundings of Târgoviște but also the opportunity to stand in the presence of history, as this is where the head of the great voivode Mihai Viteazul rests.

The tour continues with Viforâta Monastery, a peaceful retreat renowned for its precious relics and the miracle-working icon of the Mother of God, and Stelea Monastery, an architectural gem situated right in the historic center of the former capital. Every wall and every fresco tells stories of times long past, transforming the visit into a true lesson in culture and faith.

The journey ends at Nucet Monastery, an ancient settlement where monastic traditions are sacredly preserved, making it the perfect place for a final moment of tranquility before returning home. It’s an experience designed for those seeking a break from the fast pace of everyday life—a day dedicated to harmony and inner renewal, accompanied by a guide ready to reveal the secrets of these iconic monuments.
