About This Tour

Leave the cityscape behind and set out on a fairy-tale journey through the Vrancea Mountains, a region where history and nature intertwine in a fascinating way. Your first stop will take you back in time to Baba Vrâncioaia’s House. Here you’ll discover the living legend of the place and the story of the seven sons who supported Stephen the Great in battle. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn about local traditions and feel the pulse of history right in the heart of a Romanian village.

We continue our journey toward the heart of Putna-Vrancea Natural Park, where nature puts on an exceptional visual spectacle at Putna Waterfall. The river’s waters have carved natural steps into the rock, creating an imposing waterfall that will captivate you with its beauty and power. The fresh mountain air and picturesque landscape transform this place into a perfect oasis for photography and reconnecting with nature.

The day ends in an atmosphere of complete peace at Lepșa Monastery, idyllically situated on the banks of the Putna River. With a turbulent history and renowned for the miracle-working icon of Saint Nicholas—saved from a devastating fire—this place of worship offers the ideal setting for contemplation before heading back home.
