About This Tour

Enjoy a refreshing one-day getaway and discover the hidden treasures of Buzău County, a land where spectacular nature blends harmoniously with tradition and legends. The journey begins with a contemplative stop at Ciolanu Monastery, a place steeped in peace and history. Here you’ll be able to admire the distinctive architecture of the two churches and the paintings by the great artist Gheorghe Tattarescu, gradually immersing yourself in the relaxing atmosphere of the trip.

The route continues to the village of Colți, where we’ll explore the Amber Museum, a unique destination on the country’s tourist map. You’ll be fascinated by the rare exhibits and learn the story behind the mining of this fossilized resin that has made the region famous. After this cultural excursion, nature beckons us to Cașoca Waterfall, an enchanting cascade hidden in the cool forests of the Buzău Mountains—the perfect spot to breathe in the exceptionally clean air.

The adventure culminates with a visit to the impressive Siriu Dam. You’ll marvel at the grandeur of the structure and the tranquil expanse of the reservoir, and have the opportunity to hear local tales, including the famous myth of the giant trout. It is an experience perfectly tailored for lovers of nature, unique history, and unforgettable landscapes.
