About This Tour

Discover one of the most spectacular and peaceful spots on the Romanian coast on a day trip to Gura Portiței, a natural paradise nestled between Lake Golovița and the Black Sea. Departing from Bucharest, this experience offers you the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend a day in a place where nature has remained almost untouched.

The journey begins in the fishing village of Jurilovca, the largest fishing community in the Danube Delta and one of the most picturesque towns in Dobrogea. The traditional houses of the Russian-Lipovan community, painted white and blue, the authentic atmosphere, and the modern tourist port make Jurilovca a destination worth discovering.

From Jurilovca, you’ll take a boat across to Gura Portiței, a narrow strip of land between the lake and the sea, accessible only by water. Part of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, this destination is prized for its wild beaches, clear water, tranquility, and spectacular scenery, making it the ideal spot for those seeking relaxation away from crowded resorts.

You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the beach, swim in the Black Sea, take walks along the seashore, or savor the seafood and Dobrujan specialties offered by local restaurants.
